Willis Tower

In May 2020, significant rainfall caused widespread flooding across downtown Chicago, to include overflowing the Chicago River.

The floodwaters penetrated and compromised the Willis Tower’s newly completed atrium retail area, lower parking levels, and electrical and mechanical infrastructure –knocking out power to the entire building and forcing tenants to evacuate the building and the loss of the signal transmission from the building’s digital antennas.

American Technologies, Incorporated, the restoration contractor, reached out to National Drying Technologies to provide an engineered drying solution to assist in restoring the building to its pre-flood conditions.
