Talking Stick Resort

In August 2018, desert monsoon rains caused significant flash flooding in Phoenix and the greater Maricopa County area.

Floodwaters inundated the ground and below ground levels of Talking Stick Resort, a popular casino, entertainment, convention, and hotel venue in Phoenix.

The flooded levels contained the resort’s critical electrical infrastructure and the water rendered it inoperable, resulting in a total power outage across the entire campus.
